A Foggy Morning In Old Faithfull
This morning we drove to Fountain Flat Drive south of Madison in Yellowstone. The sunrise was just breaking through the fog creating an eerie glow and then after a few shots a thick fog took over. We continued south to Old Faithful where I hoped to capture a buffalo coming through the stem of a geyser. Well I was thrilled to be walking along a boardwalk and the steam was behind the buffalo but was close to what I wanted. This is the photo from today.
We spent to morning exploring the Old Faithful area watching geysers and beautiful colored ponds. The road from Old Faithful to West Thumb is closed until around April so we needed to turn around there and make our way back. We watched some female Elk eat grass in a river and saw many buffalo. We needed to send a few things Fed Ex and as we turned a corner to saw our Jeeping buddies who are from Arizona. When had been in Moab with my brother and what a coincidence to meet them in Yellowstone. The four of us haven't seen each other for a few years so we caught up over some ice cream. It was a great day.
