Snow in the Tetons

October 01, 2014  •  Leave a Comment

It snowed on the Tetons and surrounding mountains last night.  We bundled up early this morning and photographed Moose in the sleet and Elk as is hailed.  This is posted below.  I'm glad I had bought hand and feet warmers which worked out great.  I was a little concerned about loosing a toe in my boot.  The clouds lifted for a bit this afternoon and the sun shinned so I could capture the Tetons covered in snow.  We drove down a road below Oxbow Bend and the fields were golden and the mountains were stunning.  I used this photo in todays blog.  As we were there a Golden Eagle flew over which is posted below.  This afternoon we drove to see if we could find another Moose at the Science School area and a bull Moose walked across the prairie and right next to our car.  He gave us a snort, but keep moving.  We stopped off at Mormon Row for a nice sunset, but the clouds came in and it began sleeting again.  Tomorrow is suppose to be clear and sunny.
